These tracks are based on the idea of distant listening. Low frequencies travel the furthest, so i tried to make tracks from the position of a distant listener, then amplifying what is left.
The experience of being by necessity in different types of spaces near where the actual (musical)event is happening. Like a corridor or a toilet in a rock concert, or in desert hearing a tribe drumming from behind a mountain slope.
In these situations crucial information necessary to convey a message is lost, leading to guess work, about the content and cultural identity of what one hears.
From a musical standpoint, when placing oneself in a distant listening position, one can play with the degrees in which representational content, that is transmitted to the listener.
All of this comes from a desire to create some conditions for a quality listening experience in the sound itself, but my music is stuck in this logistical pre-musical effort to change how we listen rather than what we listen to.
